At I/O 2013 Google announced Tags Manager for Mobile apps. A new way for mobile app developers to overcome the problem of having your google analytics tracking implementation stuck at the point where your user installed your application… they are, after all, installing only the code you wrote and uploaded to the app store and nothing more.
You can easily get started using tags manager by signing into your google account and starting up similar to the first time you ever made a regular old analytics account.. if we can remember back that far.
This contrasts sharply from the agile implementation you get from the web, where you can almost real time, depending on how much site traffic you get, implement a peice of analytics code or tag and immediately get the results back you’re wanting… that’s as soon as you upload it to the production server and it starts running.
